Run from HS

With Miles, Jonah, Patrick, Zak...

Jogged 7 minutes to UMass pond...stretched...jogged 7 minutes to UMass track...did 1/2 miracle mile, 2x 30, 40, 50 yard sprints and 60 pushups...jogged 10 minutes back to the HS...tossed around for awhile...

Rugby Goaltimate

We went to do stadiums, but took too long getting things going, so got kicked out...

Instead we (me, patrick, zak, henry, miles, jonah)  played goaltimate with the rugby uprights.  It was pretty fun, played for an hour, but it was hard to run hard the whole time.  Me patrick and jonah kinda sucked for awhile, but then won a game to 5.  Both of my ankles got twisted a bit, and then I got a knee to the quad at the end it.  My cleat also BLEW UP.

My back has really been hurting these days.  Feeling it in my legs a bit, and its sharper in the back area...baaaad.  Shoveling isn't good.

Track Work

With Joe, Miles, Jonah and Patrick:

10×100 (1 min rest)- 15 sec (to do each 100)
8×80 (45 sec rest)- 12 sec
6×60 (30 sec rest)- 9/10 sec
4×40 (20 sec rest)- 6ish sec

So, as you can see from the times for each distance, we were not doing them at 100%. Instead we made sure to stay at a pace we could keep up for each distance.

Then went to pickup and played the best ULTIMATE FRISBEE of my life!

Back hurts more. Shoveling=bad.

Run and plyo circuit

Today my brother and I ran for 32 minutes. I think it was about 4.5 miles, maybe slightly less. Starting at Stanley Street, and going on the bike trail to Amherst Woods and back.

After, we did the plyo circuit I did last week:
3 rounds of:
30 seconds each of, in order:
-Burpees
-Jumping Jacks
-Split Jumps
-Burpees
-Jumping Jacks
-Mountain Climbers
-Rest

While the burpees were the hardest part and got me real tired, my feet were killing me from all of the quick jumping and landing on them, which is what probably held me back the most.

Then for a swim in Stanley Street water.

PRAC in Amherst

Practice this weekend.  Both were very tiring.  On Saturday the D got a lot of work in on their BOZONE and the O did pretty badly.  I don't really think that the D made us play badly, it was more just that we were killing ourselves with dumbass turns.  I had 5, and they got me pretty mad.  I wish I didn't get so pissed, and I try to control it, but it just makes me annoyed at everyone, especially the D guys.  On Sunday we went over the O plays and did some endzone work.  We won the endzone game to 11 (11-10).  We played three games to 4 where the O starts down 3-0, and gets pulled to everytime (so if we turn it, and the D scores, we lose).  We lost the first one 4-3 (so we scored 3), won the second one 4-3 (so we scored 4), and lost the third 4-3.  We also scrimmaged to 5, and won 5-3.  I scored three on Bill, so that felt good, just because he's been annoying me.  I had three turns.  Most of my turns were into poaches this weekend, which makes me worried just because I have a hard time seeing them.  But what it means is that I just need to go with my instincts more, which will mean that if I don't think I should throw it, don't, just dump.  We were doing a much better job with the dumps and swings, opening things up for everyone.  Hopefully we'll be able to work well together at Chesapeake, I'm excited for that.

NH

Went to Heydingers Cabin in FREEDOM, nh, so we did not workout thurs and fri of this week.  It was a beautiful place, and we had a really awesome time rope swinging, horseshoeing, drinking some, swimming, and eating a lot more than I should have.
